Awareness programs on topics like cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, AIDS and polio have been conducted for the students of different colleges, namely, Sammilani College, A J C Bose College, Parampara, Hooghly, Thakurpukur Vivekananda College, Shyampur Siddheswari Mahabidyalay, Bagbazar Women's College, Anandamohan College, Krishnath College (at Berhampore) and Berhampore Sericulture Institute. Dept. of Sc. & Technol.(DST), Govt. of West Bengal sponsored seminar on cancer was organized for college students on Dec. 5, 2015 in collaboration with Lady Brabourne College in the college auditorium. Five distinguished speakers (3 clinicians & 2 researchers) and Dr. R Chatterjee (President) were present as resource persons in the seminar Association conducted awareness programs in 15, 16, 26 and 21 colleges/institutes of Kolkata and few other districts during the financial years 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 respectively. Association arranged Thalassemia testing for 100 students and staff of A B Model School, Barrackpore on 29th June, 2016 in cooperation with Hematology Dept. Of the School of Tropical Medicne, Kolkata. A blood donation camp was arranged at Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College on 13/2/17 and 80 students donated blood. Manicktala Branch of West Bengal Blood Transfusion Dept. Cooperated in this effort. Association observed World No Tobacco Day on 31st May by holding road rallies in 2015 in Bhowanipore area, covering about 1.5 km from Ganja Park; in, 2016 in association with resident members of ward no. 13 of Howrah Municipal Corporation in Howrah, in 2017 in collaboration with Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College and in 2018 along with National Institute for Pharmaceutical Education & Research. Colourful road rallies were organized to observe World AIDS Day on Dec. 1, 2015 in association with Thakurpukur Vivekananda College, in 2016 in cooperation with Dumdum Motijhil College covering residential and commercial areas around the college and in Khiderpore in 2017 in association with Kidderpore College. A Dental camp was organized on 13/1/19 at the premises of Rajpur Club, Aghor Sa, Paschatyapara, Harinavi, Kol-150 for the community people in cooperation with the club. Doctors from South 24-Parganas Indian Dental Association rendered professional services free of cost. A team of volunteers of the association rendered free services at Gangasagar Mela for 4 days in January, during 2017, 2018 1nd 2019 Association is now engaged in conducting cervical cncer awareness programs for the rural women of the villages under Panchla block of Howrah district. Prgrams have been already conducted in 8 gram panchayates till date. •Earlier concluded holding awareness program on cervical cancer among rural women of villages under Hardah gram panchayate of Baruipur sub-division. A report has been submitted to the Panchayate Pradhan and BDO. Department of Biotechnology of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India has awarded a grant to the association to popularize science among students of resource-poor schools with the help of Foldscope (a paper microscope, origami). This one year program is being conducted by Dr. R Chatterjee, President as Principal Investigator in schools of Howrah district. Workshops on Foldscope have been conducted in 26 schools across all streams till March 31, 2019. A research article entitled “Assessment of HIV/AIDS Awareness Level of High School Students in Kolkata” based on findings of the awareness program conducted on HIV/AIDS among the school students was published in the Journal of Communicable Diseases, in pages 1-6 of volume 49, issue no. 4 of 2017. The article has been up-loaded in the website of the association.

1. Beginning July 2011 awareness programs on HIV/AIDS have been carried in 38 schools in Kolkata and 33 schools of Howrah district covering 2290 and 2093 students respectively of class X, XI & XII till June 30. 2015.
2. Awareness programs on topics like cancer, br ca, ca cx, AIDS and polio have been conducted for the students of different colleges, namely, Christian Women’s College, District Institute of Education & Training College (Jagatballavpur, Howrah), Azad Hind Fauz Smriti Mahavidyalaya (Domzur), Heramba Chandra College, Bejoy Krishna Girls’ College (Howrah), Mahadevananda College (Barrackpore), Lady Brabourne College, Gurudas College .
3. Awareness programs on ca cx are being conducted for the rural women of Hardah gram panchayate under Baruipur sub-division. Programs have been carried out already in five villages (Tangerberia, Purba Mallickpur, Chakraborty Abad, Jaikrishnapur, Hardaha). Together with this random blood sugar and blood pressure have been checked free of cost for the women attending the awareness program.
Organized a road rally on the occasion of World No tobacco Day on May 31, 2014. Rally went up to Jodhpur Park starting from the area opposite to Jadavpur University's gate no. 2. Hand bills were distributed carrying salient messages on damaging effects of consuming tobacco. Dr. Shyamal Roy, eminent scientist flagged off the rally at about 11.15 am.
The Association organized a colourful road rally at 10 am on December 1, 2012 to observe the ‘World AIDS Day’. Besides the students of Purwanchal Vidyamandir of Kankurgachi other members of the association and few well-wishers participated in the rally. President of the association flagged-off the rally from the road in front of Vidyamandir. Passing through the CIT Scheme VII road up to Ultadanga crossing, then following VIP road the rally concluded near the Vidyamandir premises. During the rally apart from distributing hand bills on AIDS (in Bengali) among the people messages on important aspects of awareness on AIDS were announced on public address system and the significance of observing World AIDS Day was also explained to public. Public was also informed over the PA system that the association holds awareness program on AIDS throughout the year for students and members of the community.
The day before, on Nov. 30, an insertion inviting people to join the rally was put in the daily ‘Bartaman’. Few small newspapers/bulletins (Ganabarta, Des Darpan) printed the news of observance of the day by the association during the nest few days.
